6.2 Downgrade

PowerWriter releases updates periodically, adding support for new chip models, as well as fixing bugs and optimizing functions.

Note that the device firmware version follows the software version. The general upgrade procedure is to upgrade the software first, and then upgrade the firmware, as shown in the figure below:

1.X1 Firmware Migration Instructions​

If the firmware version of PWX1 is lower than V1.00.50, a direct upgrade to the latest version will fail. You need to upgrade to V1.00.50 first, and then proceed to upgrade to the latest firmware version.

You can switch to the specified version via the upgrade module to migrate to this intermediate firmware. After the upgrade succeeds, switch back to the latest software version and perform the firmware upgrade a second time. The detailed procedure is shown below:

After upgrading to version 1.00.50, repeat the above‑mentioned upgrade procedure and switch the software version to the latest one.
