3.1 Quick Guide

3.1.1 Prepare

  • Scan QR code(download)or visit:https://www.powerwriter.com/index/inde x/products?p=26&c=files&t=Client to download PowerWriter For ARM software & install it,launch desktop shortcut named PowerWriter®

  • Connect origin Type-C USB cable to the USB port on the PWX1 host and PC.

  • Desktop software identifies and connects to the PWX1 device,If successfully connected, device information will be displayed in the logger, as follows:

  • In addition, the PWX1 displays the device online prompt box, as follows:

  • Click PowerWriter®->Writer Setting->Select,Select the MCU that you want to operate(Search available),Then click the OK button.

  • Refer Appearance and Interface Connect the chip to the PWX1 device. If the connection is successful, you will see the indication that the target chip is connected in the PowerWriter® client log bar as well as in the bottom status bar, as shown below:

    If you can't connect to the device, please try to change the USB port or through the PowerWriter® client menu: Help->Driver Installation->Install the latest driver and retry, if you can't connect to the target chip, please check the communication port wiring, if you still can't solve the problem, please contact customer service or technical support.

3.1.2 Online Programming

  • Switch the PowerWriter® page to the Program Memory (or Main Flash) page, click the Add Firmware button to import the firmware to be burned, and then click the OK button (multiple segments of firmware can be added together if prompted).

  • By clicking on the Auto (robot icon) button on the toolbar, PowerWriter® will automatically complete the burning and verification of the data and display the information in the log field as shown below:

3.1.3 Offline Programming

  • Click on the PowerWriter® menu: Execute->Load Offline (follow the prompts to select Save Item).
  • After loading is complete, click Burner Settings->Communication Configuration->Disconnect to disconnect the device online.
  • Switch the PWX1 interface to the Offline Burn button and move the focus to the ▶Click to start the burn-in and the interface will display the operation result after the burn-in is finished.
